Stir-Fried Kai Lan Recipe

A popular and classic Kai Lan recipe with literally lots of green that complements well with chicken, fish or meat main dish. The oyster sauce really really birng out the exception flavour of this vegetable dish.

Stir-Friend Kai LanIngredients:

  • 150g Baby Kai Lan
  • 1 tsp minced Garlic
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce*
  • 1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce*
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar*
  • Dash of Pepper*
  • 100ml Water
  • 1 tsp Cornflour mixed with 1 Tbsp Water

Method:

  1. Wash the kai lan and cut off the base of the stem.
  2. Lightly coat a frying pan or wok with a small amount of cooking oil. Heat.
  3. Stir-fry garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add baby kai lan, water and seasoning ingredients*. Stir.
  5. Once the leaves begin to soften, add the cornflour mixture and stir until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve.
