Barley Water

The barley water is a healthy drink that goes well with any meal. The health benefits range from better skin complexion to expelling toxins to prevention of urinary tract infection and etc.

Barley WaterIngredients:

  • 200g Barley
  • 2L Water
  • 100g Rock Sugar (to taste)

Method:

  1. Wash barley under running water.
  2. Place in a large pot with water and rock sugar.
  3. Bring to boil then simmer for an hour, until the barley grains become soft and fluffy.
  4. Strain off barley grains immediately.
  5. Serve hot or ice cold.
