Beef with Ginger Spring Onions

One of the all-time favorite beef dishes - spiced with ginger and favoured with spring onions.


  • Beef with Ginger and Spring Onion250g Beef (choose cut suitable for stir-frying)
  • 1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce*
  • 1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce*
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar*
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil*
  • Dash of Pepper*
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 6 slices Ginger
  • 2 stalks Spring Onion
  • 1 tsp Cornflour mixed with 100ml Water


  1. Slice beef thinly across the grain.
  2. Tenderize beef slices with a meat mallet.
  3. Add seasoning ingredients* to the beef slices and mix well.
  4. Cut the spring onions into 5cm lengths.
  5. Heat a little oil in a non-stick wok.
  6. Stir-fry the ginger and garlic until fragrant.
  7. Add beef slices and stir-fry.
  8. When beef is almost cooked, add in spring onions & cornflour mixture.
  9. Once sauce is thick, remove from heat. Do not overcook beef.
  10. Serve.
